East Grand Forks Parks & Recreation Youth Programs offers a wide range of activities including baseball, softball, tennis, playground programs, youth hockey, skating, and synchronized skating. Baseball options include Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, 9U–10U Minors, 11U–12U Majors, 13U–15U Baseball, and Jr. Legion, and softball options include 8U, 10U, and 12U Softball. The program also includes 6–8 Year Old Tennis, 9–11 Year Old Tennis, 12–14 Year Old Tennis, Youth Hockey with levels such as Termites, Mites/Girls 8U, Squirts/Girls 10U, Peewees/Girls 12U, Bantams, and a Youth Hockey Clinic, as well as Learn to Skate classes like Snow Plow Sam, Basic 1–6, Hockey 1–4, Pre-Freeskate & Freeskate, plus Private Ice/Individual sessions, Private Ice Coaches, and both competitive and non-competitive synchronized skating options such as Non-Competitive Synchro (SPS), Aspire Synchro, Preliminary Synchro, and Open Juvenile Synchro. Families can also access area parks, shelters and facility rentals, a pool, fields, arenas, a campground, bike and walking trails, pickleball, hunting and fishing opportunities, a community garden, and a senior center through the same parks and recreation system.

• Schedule: Activities are offered across multiple sports and recreation seasons, including baseball, softball, tennis, playground programs, youth hockey, skating, and synchronized skating.

The East Grand Forks Parks & Recreation Youth Programs leadership team includes Jeremy King, Parks & Recreation Superintendent; John Wuitschick, Recreation Supervisor; and Brenna Mathiason, Parks & Recreation Specialist. The program is part of a broader parks and recreation system that includes a Parks & Recreation Facility Improvement Plan, community services, tree-related services, and cemetery management. It also shares helpful links to organizations such as MN Hockey District 16, U.S. Figure Skating Association, USA Hockey Registration, Minnesota Wild, Gopher Hockey, UND Hockey, and the Minnesota Twins. The program acknowledges community involvement, including support from Bass Pro.
